About Us

Our Algorithm

Intermarket Outlook has developed an algorithm to trade several different markets. Our algorithm is robust and trades several different markets in the exact same technical pattern and exact same time frame. The position sizing is also robust in the same initial dollar commitment to each market. Historically the algorithm has created exceptional results on a very reasonable margin base, but these results are certainly not without some performance ups and downs.

How It Works

The Algo follows 7 markets that appear to us to have the same general trading characteristics:

Corn
Soybean Meal
Soybean Oil
Wheat
10-year note
Euro FX
Japanese Yen

Intermarket Outlook feels the two best trading and trending markets of all major markets are the Japanese Yen and the 10-Year Note. Also, the ability to trade meal against bean oil can present some excellent opportunities. The same can also be true of corn versus wheat. In addition, the Euro/Yen as a spread as well as the two positions trending in the same direction can offer some great opportunities. Finally, having all markets trending in different directions can also create outstanding rewards.

We intentionally left Crude Oil and S&P 500 out of our portfolio. We feel the potential movement in Crude Oil and the S&P 500 Index can be so large that their potential volatility could throw our portfolio totally out of balance. This situation is created by the extremely large dollar value of each contract.
